If you have been a part-owner of a business that has grown substantially, and now the company is becoming a large company or corporation, but you feel left out of the plan, you need a lawyer. As the company grows, you should be included in information, and if you feel your partner or partners are leaving you out and are trying to write you out, you need a corporate attorney. Here are some of the things to talk about.

Secrecy and Undisclosed Information

Do you feel that there has been some secrecy in the financials of the company, deals that are being made for the future and future growth, and that you are being left out? The lawyer can file the paperwork and request to look at all of the company's financials and meet with the business attorneys about deals and things going on.

You may find that they you are missing out on money, being left out of a future merger and more.  Get a corporate lawyer so you can get to the bottom of what is going on, and why you are  being left out of it.

Fair Pay for Partnership

Are you paying attention to all money coming in and out, taxes being filed, distributions being paid and expense reports and claims from your partner? If not, get involved. Your lawyer will make sure that you are being paid the same that you aren't missing out on opportunities.

If your partners are getting new phones every year and you aren't, you should be getting an equal cash amount. If they driving company leases and you are not, this is also an amount you should be reimbursed.  It's important to make sure you are getting your fair share.

Agreements Moving Forward

If you want to be bought out and you want to end your partnership, the lawyer will negotiate the terms of this agreement. If the company is making a merger or becoming a corporation, you should have your own legal representation. You don't want to miss out on the money that you deserve with the company that you have built just because your partners are trying to get you out.

If you know that there is something going on with the business that you are a partner in and that they are trying to make moves behind your back, get an attorney. The attorney will be able to help you find out what is going on, get the money, and get you out of the situation if you want.
